Who we are

BlackGlass Capital Ltd is the controller of the personal data collected on this site. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16835032, with our registered office at 40 Bowling Green Lane, London, EC1R 0NE. Email contact@blackglass.uk with any question about this notice.

What we collect, and why

When you send an enquiry or a referral

Your name, company, agency or organisation, work email, phone number if you give it, any building details you tell us and your message. We use these to reply to you and, if you ask for one, to assess your roof. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our business and, where you ask about a roof, taking steps at your request before any agreement. We don't ask for your consent to this; our forms tell you how we use the details instead.

If you refer a client's building, we rely on you confirming that your client has agreed to you sharing the details. We contact you, not your client, until you tell us otherwise.

If you accept analytics cookies

  • How you use the site. Microsoft Clarity records pages viewed, clicks, scrolling and session recordings, with your device type, browser and approximate location. Our forms are masked, so what you type into them is not recorded.
  • Which company a visit came from. A company-identification tool (Leadfeeder, from Dealfront) matches your network address to a company name. It reports organisations, not named individuals, though it does set a cookie to recognise a returning browser.
  • Campaign details. If you arrived from one of our campaign links, we note the campaign and the pages you viewed in that visit. If you then send an enquiry, those details are attached to it, so they become linked to you.

Our lawful basis for analytics is your consent. Nothing in this section happens unless you accept. You can change your mind at any time with .

Who processes it for us

  • Netlify hosts this site and receives the forms.
  • Notion holds enquiries in our customer records.
  • Microsoft Clarity provides analytics, if you accept it.
  • Leadfeeder (Dealfront) provides company-level visit data, if you accept it.

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the UK's approved safeguards, such as the International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. Microsoft Clarity keeps session recordings for 30 days, and heatmaps and saved recordings for up to 13 months.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Email contact@blackglass.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we'd like the chance to put things right first.
